1. The photographer of this photo is Walker Evans. He lived from 1975-1903 and he took this picture in December of 1935. The name of this photograph is Sidewalk scene in Selma, Alabama.
2. The setting of this photography is outside a store on the sidewalk during the day with good natural lighting from the sun and it looks to be urban.
3. I see about ten people who appear to all be in their twenties wearing suits and ties outside of a jacket store it appears. The photo is in black and white, the people have colored skin, and they are wearing black, white, gray, and possibly brown too. There is a dog and a car in the photo as well.
4. There is a business in the picture that doesn't look to be in a very good condition it is surrounded by a car and a bunch of broken signs.
5. The photograph looks to be light, positive, and both dark and light in places due to shadows made by the sun.
7. Why are the people wearing nice jackets outside in the sun during the Depression?
What are they doing sitting outside of this store in the middle of the day? Do they have jobs or are they taking a break from working in this store?
